A new and exciting option in the Health Sciences Program at Indiana State, the Environmental Health Concentration is specially designed to meet your needs if you are planning a career as an environmental health specialist trained to deal with the growing concerns and issues facing our environment.

Your study in environmental health includes course work in such areas as pollution prevention and control; water, air, soil, and food protection; industrial health and safety; environmental law; hazardous substances and waste materials; statistics; toxicology, epidemiology, and health promotion planning and evaluation.

The concentration’s requirements also include an internship in environmental health. Upon completion of your study you are eligible to take the state examination to become a registered environmental health specialist.
