The College of Health and Human Services
We believe in the World Health Organization (WHO) definition of Health: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Our goal is to implement the WHO definition of health for individuals, families and neighborhoods through creative teamwork that facilitates health equity and social wellness using a mindset that prioritizes respect for all people, the strength of diversity, and the power of joy!
Our Guiding Objectives

Education: Create engaging learning environments for students, professionals and communities that facilitate the optimal delivery of health and social wellness programs.

Research: Conduct socially relevant research that is responsive to community needs and is easily implemented for individuals, families and neighborhoods.

Outreach: Reach out to individuals across the lifespan, and in communities near and far, to create conditions supporting a wonderful quality of life.
